Over the last 5 or so years, I've been developing an illustrative style that is bit of a departure from my commercial and past art photography. It's EVERYTHING ON BLACK and the process of intertwining and painting the elements together has become my favorite, mental canvas. My recently released and very large, edition print series "Artifacts of Alchemy" was the very first application of this process and I'm really excited about the results.
When I'm not marketing, shooting, promoting and then promoting some more... I'm playing with alternative techniques and formats. Usually that means developing my artistic voice. Lately, my personal developments have crossed over into the main stream and namely, social media.
A few months ago, I decided to try out instagram as a continuous gallery for a single image. Using the grids to weave together a flowing image has proved to be something of great interest in a very short time. The scrolling image contains snippets of the "Artifacts of Alchemy" work and beyond.
